Well no long analytical stuff but just a few facts and a couple of observations on why its is coming and why it will still sell millions of copies on the web.
- Hype is ripe – Looking at the google insight you can clearly see that it has all come to an almost ejaculation point. Media, Apple fans and competitors are all going crazy. They are all waiting to hear from Steve Jobs what all they did wrong. Look for yourself how steep the curve has been of the iSlate story. We’ll wait patiently to see what Steve Jobs plans to unveil on 26th Jan 2010
Price is fine: Steve will do the same trick of it being a movie player with all 3-D stuff, a designer stuff which designers will use instead of the kludgy tablet and sketch devices folks use, an e-Reader and a productivity suite being able to use iWork and other stuff. I for one will definitely buy one.
Tablet sales will rise but folks will only buy Apple’s tablet as it will provide more value for money
Publishing industry need some legitimization — If Apple has been working this hard to make the publishing business
News on your iSlate — All those news channels struggling to make money via both paperware as well as unreadable mobile access, will soon be more fun to read. I for one read a helluva lot, both paid and free-online content, and I would want to have a multi-functional device for one.
I think for now this is enough why Apple’s tablet is for real.

Nice graph, agree iSlate will be the way to go.
