Networking cool cat Vyatta is now Citrix Ready!

Belmont, CA – 2009-06-09 05:00:00 – Vyatta, the leader in open networking and network virtualization, today announced it has joined the Citrix Ready™ product verification program to create solutions for customers deploying cloud computing infrastructure. The two companies have verified product compatibility between Vyatta’s open networking solutions and the Citrix Cloud Center(C3) product family to make it as easy as possible for service providers and enterprises to use Vyatta with Citrix products such as XenDesktop™, XenApp™, XenServer™ and NetScaler®. Citrix (NASDAQ: CTXS) was also the lead investor in Vyatta’s Series C funding, announced today in a separate release VYATTA RAISES $10 MILLION IN SERIES C ROUND LED BY CITRIX.
Citrix Cloud Center (C3)™ is an integrated portfolio of Citrix virtualization and networking infrastructure products packaged and marketed to the cloud service provider market. Citrix C3 integrates cloud-proven virtualization and networking products that power many of today’s largest Internet and Web service providers. Citrix has now included Vyatta’s open network operating system in multiple Citrix C3 “blueprints” to provide network and security functions to a range of usage scenarios. Using Vyatta’s routing, firewalling, VPN, and other features along with Citrix C3 products, customers can better connect and secure these environments.
