How long will it take Oracle to buy VMlogix?

By Tarry Singh at 17 May, 2009, 9:16 am

Not long given that VMlogix has two important components that could help Oracle build its own Internal Cloud or what I fondly call a IntraCloud, a primer for the private cloud environments. They are:

Obviously that is not the only reason for Oracle [or for that matter other virtualization wannabe to go for] the fact that VMlogix has multi-platform support for Microsoft, VMware and Citrix. Obviously there are other strenghts in VMlogix that make it an excellent case. Oracle could now be the first agnostic VM/IntraCloud management vendor.

Funny thing is if some smartie strategists are sitting together, they could pick up most of the current mean-valued (not devalued) firms and put them in a portfolio as the agnostic virtualization/cloud management vendor. Soon BMC, CA, Quest will have to find a buyer as the “One-Stop-Shop” instigators are not about to stop.

P.S: We covered VMlogix a couple of years ago, hopefully it wil lshow up below in related posts.
