IEEE Vision Paper on “Smart Metering the Clouds”; Attend the workshop in The Netherlands

We are proud to have delivered our first research paper and have it accepted by the IEEE council. This paper, which will soon be published by the IEEE, is about CSER and about energy evangelism. We focus and propose our model that revolves around two spectrums. Spectrum one is about the advanced metering techniques that are being used by the utilities sector and the yet-in-development techniques that meter or attempt to meter the data centers. We propose a “CMS” or a consolidate metering solution where we propose RTP (Real-Time Pricing) as th true measure to truly bill the consumers.

There will be a lot of future work and we would welcome participants who understand clouds and would like to participate in the Cloud Computing standards. Currently I am evaluating the odds of writing (co-authoring the book with Pavan). Me and Pavan will do the “energy evangelization” from all parts of the world, me starting in EMEA.

The  workshop is being held at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands called WETICE from June 29th – July 1st 2009 and you can register when it becomes available.
