Virtual Instruments, provider of the award-winning NetWisdom storage area network (SAN) optimization solution, today announced it is opening offices in London and Munich. The new offices will help the company meet growing customer demand in Europe, which currently accounts for nearly 50 percent of the company’s revenue.
“Due to the recession and the need to do more with less, demand for NetWisdom is accelerating as leading worldwide IT organizations implement NetWisdom to reduce costs and prepare for production-level server virtualization deployments,” said Mark Urdahl, CEO of Virtual Instruments. “NetWisdom’s instrumentation, monitoring and analysis capabilities help address the new set of performance and availability challenges created by virtualized data centers. With product demand particularly strong in Europe, our new offices will ensure we deliver superior customer service and better support our channel partners.”
Having local specialists in Europe will allow Virtual Instruments to respond more quickly to the needs of our customers, including retailers, financial firms, insurance companies, service providers, pharmaceuticals, manufacturers and government organizations. Virtual Instruments is committed to helping customers integrate NetWisdom into their virtual infrastructure so that our customers can fully reap the economic benefits of virtualization.
“Virtualization and SAN optimization solutions like NetWisdom are becoming essential to creating resource-efficient data centers as they lower operational and acquisition costs and enable the successful implementation of virtualization,” said Roy Illsley, Senior Analyst with the Butler Group. “Office expansion in Europe represents an important step by Virtual Instruments, which should help raise the profile and accelerate deployment of its NetWisdom products.”
